i was wondering this, as scan have it on their weekly special page with a dvd recorder for £470. Which with free shipping is a bargain if the TV is semi decent
Well, I can cut it in half!

I think this is one of those generic brands that can be dressed up as anything. Its cheap for a reason, the majority of the cheap brands have a long way to go and leave something to be desired in the reliability stakes.

Just wait and save up a bit more for a better brand. Sony, Toshiba, Panasonic seem to be the best around at the moment.

I bought the Mirai and the Dvd Recorder from Scan
Can't fault the picture or the connector choice.
Beware though...I tried to connect using the red green and blue connectors to the dvd and kept getting an error message of over scan or someting.
I tried with 2 other dvd players and the same message.
Mirai tech said it was a compatabilty issue but with 3 different makes ??
I have used the scart to connect it.
Just to be sure I connected the recorder to a plasma and all connections work.
Was going to return them but the picture quality is superb and I can live without the component connectoe.
