what about thoes sony ones... ummm... hold on!
http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTE...FontopiaEarbud
I have these and I use them with my iHP-120 There realy great!
I have those ^
After a couple months they went really quiet and sounded awful. Changed to Sennheiser MX500s and never looked back.
Those Sony ones sound great... until they break. Their design and build quality so poor that that rarely last more than 6 months.
For £15.99 you can get a Koss "Plug" earphone which stop almost all other sound and insert into your ear. For this reason you wouldnt need to have the volume quite as high to get the same sound levels.
You should be able to get them from any good Audiovisual retailer
Audiovisual Online - Audiovisual Cables and Accessories at Highly discounted prices. Including brands such as Fisual Cables, QED Cables, Ixos Cables, Profigold Cables, Koss Headphones, Grado Headphones, Sennheiser Headphones, One for All, Polk Audio / Sonance Ceiling Speakers, Logic 3, and Uniross Batteries.

You have lots of choice for that price range. My two favorites the soundwise e2 at £19 and the Audio Technica at £38(ish). I would avoid Sony and the cx300 for build quality and I would not touch Koss with a bardge poll because they are just poor all round.
If you want style there is even the fake B&O from ebay! Watch the fake Sony and Audio Technica on ebay though. The qauality is so bad they could be made by koss?
I would read a few reviews like lordpercy com.
Hope this helps
Cant beat the Shure E2C's in the £30-£50 bracket IMO. Get some for about £30 off eBay. Little lacking in base if you dont spend a bit of time working out which attachment fits your ears best. The most efficient noice cancelling earphones i have tried, and they come in a really neat holder

Hello!
I use the soundwise E2 and I absolutely cannot fault it for quality, sound and value for money. I really love it! I used to also use Sony MDR-EX71SLs and they are not as good (esp the cable). I am tempted by the Soundwise G3 as the reviews seem good.
Has anyone tried the G3
The E2 is £19 and the G3 about £25 so both are excellent value, compared to the Sony etc...

Do you need isolation?
If isolation is not needed, I still consider the Koss Porta Pro/KSC series to be better than any IEMs (in-ear buds) under £50 at least (that includes the Shure E2). You pay for the isolation...
Frankly speaking, I think everyone should try the KSC-75. They can be had for under £15, and is hard to beat in value. To be fair, the Sennheiser PX-100 is comparable in value, though different sounding (I still give it to the Koss).
I can't say the same for the Koss Plug though.. If isolation is a necessity, then the Shure/Senn CX300 (et al.) are all fine.
