I WAS going to see Metallica on Saturday, but due to other commitments I'm not going. WHY OH WHY?!?!?!

Funeral for a Friend are pretty good, saw them a while back at a tiny venue, would love to see them again at a bigger gig!

I dunno why, but i never did get into Maiden that much.

cant say i enjoyed funeral for a friend tbh, first song or 2 was ok, but all went downhill - Maiden was awesome, and i think metallica will be to, Godsmack are supporting them, so should be intresting

Cant wait for metallica, although i dont think itll be as much as a show as Maiden was, those guys rock on stage

Although i do prefer Metallica's music ( ever so slightly )

saw maiden on tuesday down the NEC in birmingham, was so awesome. The new album is sweet i think and they played plenty of songs from it mixed in with the old classics

For me it was all about hearing fear of the dark with the crowd singing along

Wow, Maiden (stares off into space remembering many "foggy" days in high school)

For some reason I was thinking of them a couple weeks ago, never seen them but always liked 'em. A lot of Maiden fanatics I went to school with in the early '80's.

    Scared, at 13 Zak
I went to see Ozzy with Randy Rhodes in '80 at 13 with my brother and a friend of his who had moved here from over your way a few years prior. Nice guy, asked me to go with them even though my my brother didn't want me too I'm sure it was an awesome concert but all I remember seeing was Oz in white and purple spandex The rest was a blur, the English guy got me pretty wasted

I didn't realise Godsmack were supporting Metallica, that should be good! Larkin is an amaizing drummer! I went to see them at the London Garage a few months ago, quite cosy!

Hope all you guys going to see Mettallica this weekend have an awesome time!

Just got back from the metallica gig, imho wasnt as good as maiden, lights were out of sync for most of it, wasnt much of a set ( for one of the biggest bands in the world ) - lighting didn't seem very planned either. and our seats were right at the back so couldnt hear some stuff sounded like the repeated one song 2-3 times ( well, parts of it..... This isnt Mix awards metallica ( if your reading! ) )
