H50 pump noise
I recently bought an H50 for my 1156 based CPU, but after firing up the system, there's a strange clicking noise coming from the pump. Honestly, it's rather loud (louder than anything else in the system) and it's impossible to focus with it running. Both Corsair and many reviews say the H50 is "quiet", "virtually silent", etc., so I'm thinking that this is not a standard feature ;-) I have a recording if somebody wants to listen.
How could I verify whether this is a faulty part? Maybe I did something wrong on the way but I think I followed the instructions to the letter (and the excellent mounting video!).
CPU temps are normal - 35-40 deg C depending on load.
Any suggestion will be appreciated. Intel stock cooler? DO NOT WANT.

Re: H50 pump noise
RMA it, somethings stuck in the impeller

CORSAIR RMA LINK
Sorry you have the pump noise. RMA with your retailer or with Corsair and we'll get it replaced ASAP.

Re: H50 pump noise
Thanks to both of you. I've already filed a support request, but I also wanted to see what the community has to say. I bought this unit in Europe, I hope I can settle the matter in Europe, without the need to send anything overseas - in case Corsair will be involved? I'm not sure what my retailer thinks about all this, I've got no answer yet ;-)

Re: H50 pump noise
If you RMA with Corsair, it should go to the Netherlands, not to the USA.

Re: H50 pump noise
How noisy should it be? I have a very quiet system and I can certainly hear it buts not so much a click but like someone softly stroking something along the tubing.
(If you have ever been to a market where they have those wooden frogs where you stroke the wooden stick across notches in its back to make a sound its a bit like that).

Re: H50 pump noise
I had the same noise, like playing cards in bicycle spokes. I fixed it easily. I just tapped on the plastic cpu cooler mounting plate that is on the back of the motherboard. I used two fingertips tapped a few times and wha la! Silence!

Re: H50 pump noise
if you can hear it its to loud.
they are quiet, nether that or too many nads in COD have gone off in my ears.
you can hear the water in the pipes just as it start up with the side of your case off, after that i think the fans are louder
