H60 or H80, which is adequate?

Hello Hexus, this is my first thread and im building a pc for the first time and have a few questions. One of them being whether or not a H60 will be enough to cool an overclocked i5 2500k and whether or not getting an H80 instead will show a reasonable temp. drop for the money, thank you in advance. And yes i've googled but cant find any tests that include both of them on similar hardware.

Re: H60 or H80, which is adequate?

I don't think the H80 is on sale yet, can't find any reviews for it anyway. Isn't the H80 basically a H60 with an extra fan for push-pull?

    - H60 will be fine for a 2500k. It's comparable to most top air coolers. Thermals probably won't be an issue since the volts you need to really push it aren't going to be that suitable for 24/7 running.
    - H60 or H80? Adding another fan isn't going to give you amazing temp differences, check out reviews comparing the H50 and H70 since it's likely to be a similar difference.

Re: H60 or H80, which is adequate?

I see, that explains a lot. Ive also been looking into the Akasa venom, any opinions on that in terms of cooling performance, noise doesnt bother me so much. Or should i post that in hardware? 0iD how do i get to the copied thread. And thanks for replying.
i realise my budget may not be able to facilitate a corsair hydro series cooler, especially if i can get similar performance from air coolers.
