Im looking into getting a H100 in my next build.
I was just wondering if i would gain any benifits by replacing the stock themal compound with something like artic silver 5?
Or are the compounds all basicaly the same now?
Cheers.

I'm getting an H100 myself and everytime I've come across this question the answer is always the same. There's always a better thermal paste out there but the stuff that comes pre-applied on the H100 is very good to begin with. I seem to remember reading and in-depth review which had a section that compared the stock T.I.M. with after market... AS-5 if memory serves. I'll see if I can find it for you.
[EDIT] No luck finding the article yet... it may have been on a forum come to think of it but I do remember the result. The aftermarket TIM was a one or two degrees cooler but that could easily be attributed to the installation. If I were you, I'd stick with the stock TIM and just be careful when installing. At the end of the day, if you're temps are high, you can always change the TIM at a later date.
There is not much difference with TIM, only by a few a few degrees. You can't go wronG with the artic brand nor NOctua's own in house TIM, both are good.
However equally important is how you apply it. Noctua is good because you only need a drop and you dont need to spread it, saving you a TIM smeared credit card
artic 5 would be a good one to replace the original thermal paste
Yeah I agree with above, Artic silver paste is the best use it in all my builds.
