Purchase 3rd party air cooler for Ryzen 5 2600?

Is there significant reason to purchase a better air cooler? Would there be a large difference in the potential regarding overclocking.

I'd say if you are serious about overclocking you should go with watercooling and get an all in one sealed unit, 240mm or 280mm with dual fans. The ryzen coolers are pretty good and are made by coolermaster so you won't gain much cooling performance upgrading to another air cooler especially when you compare the cost of the higher and air coolers and the AIO water coolers.

The ryzen coolers are adequate at stock but relatively cheap air coolers at about £30-£40 will provide much better cooling and be much quieter. The 2600 came with basic wraith cooler and it probably is worth upgrading if you want to overclock.
