    O/Cing a pair of TWIN2X2048-6400C4

    I have a pair of TWIN2X2048-6400C4

has anybody overclocked these memory modules

if so what to and with what volts

i have a C2D e6600 and was going to try to O/C it a touch but would like to know what i could maybe expect out of the RAM

Is it possible to push these to 1066 from 800 ?

I really don't think you can push these to 1066 unless you have a 2/3 year old pair.
Mine are stable at cas4 and 2.1V until 900. After I switch to cas5 and can go up to about 950.
Do not raise voltage over 2.1V it's pointless.
    Hope that helps.

When I had these, I found I hit to go to 2.15v to get stability at the speeds you want.

I got mine upto 900 Mhz so that's as fast as I need for my overclocking adventures for the time being

    Re: O/Cing a pair of TWIN2X2048-6400C4

I bought the 1066 Dominator DIMM's from Scan and they wouldnt clock past 1150Mhz. No matter how much i changed the latencies and added more voltage (within reason) even though my gigabyte P45-DS3L supports 1333Mhz apparently.

So id say by reaching 900/1000mhz you've got a good deal

In my opinion, motherboards claiming DDR2 1333 support is a ridiculous bit of marketing. There's very little memory on the entire planet that can do it and especially at any sane voltages. The fastest kit I recall was our DDR2 1250 aka PC10000 kit. And, that was a 2 x 1GB kit based on the legendary Micron D9s. None of the DDR2 256mb ICs available today for 2GB modules will come close to 1333 with any regularity.

Well it was 1200 Mhz originally then after a bios update the claimed support was 1333 Mhz. Im not saying its Corsairs fault i was merely suggesting what clocks id achieved and youd do good to get near 900/1000 Mhz.

Agreed, since it's a DDR800 kit. I was just pointing out that claiming 1333 support is misleading in way. It's like taking a very cheap slow car and putting a new speedometer in it that reads up to 500kph. The speedo can do it but the car cannot.
