    Updating Memory

    Hi Corsair,

As I have had many problems as of lately regarding the Dominator 8500 2 x 1GB Set (the new replacement that was sent to me has a dead stick...), I have chosen to replace them with a different set. Would you say that these sticks are the best of the bunch money / performance / reliability wise?

Yes they are more expensive, but if they are going to be better and more stable as it's 6400 + CAS4, I will be prepared to pay extra for them. I have been told that 6400 is a lot more stable than 8500 and the guy on the phone said that 8500 is basically OC'd memory?

Would you suggest any other replacement Yellowbeard (or anyone else?)

    Thanks

If you are going to run the memory at DDR800, that DHX set is your best choice. Very sorry to hear you got a dud stick in your replacement batch. Please let me know if I can help out in any way. However, I am certain you are in excellent hands with SCAN.
