Cannot access BIOS setup with Corsair K55 RGB
Hi, I recently bought a Corsair K55 RGB keyboard and it refuses to let me enter the system BIOS setup on boot. My old keyboard has no problem entering the BIOS setup (del key on boot). I've also tried both USB 2.0 & 3.0 ports with no luck.
Is there a way around this or will I need another keyboard?
Thanks
Re: Cannot access BIOS setup with Corsair K55 RGB
Surprised I didn't get a reply with this one. Anyway, I found a way to enter the BIOS by holding down the Winlock + F1 keys for a few seconds which puts the keyboard in to a different mode presumably.
I now have a new problem... I replaced the motherboard and CPU and now the keyboard stops the PC booting from a cold start! If I turn the PC off and on again then it will boot, or if I remove the keyboard when powering up from cold and plug it back in when Windows 10 has loaded.
Is there a known compatibility issue with the Corsair K55 RGB and the MSI X99A Gaming 7 motherboard? Just when it comes to powering up for the first time (not from a reset/restart). The screen will stay blank and the strobing colours on the keyboard will start pausing and stuttering and then I have to reboot and it will start.
Cheers :)

You may want to consider updating the firmware of the keyboard via CUE if not already done so.
Re: Cannot access BIOS setup with Corsair K55 RGB
Checked the keyboard firmware and it's on the latest version (v30.06). I also updated the motherboards BIOS to the latest version. It looks like I might have to buy another keyboard which is a shame as I've not had this one for long.
Re: Cannot access BIOS setup with Corsair K55 RGB
If you plug in & go into the BIOS using another keyboard at the same time as having the Corsair plugged in, can you operate the K55 once you're in the BIOS?
You may need to have a try with enabling/disabling Legacy USB and other similar options that you may have in your BIOS.
I'd personally weigh up how often you're going to go into the BIOS before returning the K55 if that suits your needs for the other 99% you're going to be in Windows. Just keep a cheapo secondary on standby somewhere.
