Phobya RGB Flexlight LED strips + Corsair Link
I have just added a Corsair H80 cooler to my system and was researching Corsair Link as this is supported by the H80 when I found this video on the Corsair website.
I have this Phobya LED flexlight.
Will the Phobya strip work with Corsair Link?
If it does, I would be interested in adding Corsair Link so that I can have automatic/temperature controlled fan and lighting control, what would be the most cost effective way to achieve this?

I considered this same thing myself once.
From what I could gather, it probably would work *if* the Phobya strip connects (or could be made to connect) to the Light Link box.
It uses these connectors:

It certainly does support some other 3rd party components (Phobya fans and temperature sensors seem popular).
However, I got as far as seeing there would be three big boxes in my case, before reading the LONG list of problems CorsairLink users are having with just the Corsair-made accessories, before deciding it was a monumental failure and not worth the expense of finding out.
Personally, I'd see if there was perhaps something you could fit between a fan controller and a fan, that would change the RGB strips as the RPM increased. Some fan controllers have customisable temperature profiles where you set the trigger temps and decide how fast you want the fans to go at each one. You then leave it to do it's thing.
I reckon that could be more reliable than the CorsairLink route.

Thanks, that's a good idea, I'll start by checking with Phobya.
Re: Phobya RGB Flexlight LED strips + Corsair Link
can you throw a photo of the connector on the phobya kit up? Its presumably 4 pins (i'd assume 3 power & a common ground) and should be easily controllable by pwm either from a discrete circuit with a thermistor as an input, or if you want to get snazzy an arduino.

Now there's a project worth thinking about. I don't know a thing about using Arduino, would be a good time to learn.

It'd actually be a nice starter project. Code to control RGB LEDs is readily available online, you'd just need to work up a suitable output stage as it wouldn't have the power to drive the whole string (again, thats pretty trivial to do).
