    Corsair 6400 C4 IC question..

    Hi,

I am just about to purchase some of the following...

    2GB (2x1GB) CorsairTwinX XMS2, DDR2 PC2-6400 (800), 240 Pins, Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 4-4-4-12, EPP

    Scan code LN14277

    Manufacturer code TWIN2X2048-6400C4

I wonder if someone could give me an idea of which IC's I am likely to get with the current/shipping version of this memory?

    Basically I want Micron D9's

    Regards,

    Paul

Pretty sure it uses Elpida currently.

Refer to the DDR2 IC Inquiry Thread listed in the sticky in this section to verify ICs.

Also, if you want to be assured of getting Micron D9s, I'd suggest the PC8500 Dominator.

Thanks GSte and Yellowbeard, I went for the 6400C4. Hopefully it will do 850Mhz If I relax the timings, or @ stock

Edit: One of the sticks was faulty so I got a refund

I bought 2x1Gb C4D from scan last week. When it arrived it was v1.2 which has micron d9s. There's no telling if they have all the same version in stock though I don't suppose...
