    XMS2 or Value Select.

Hi, I have at the moment a Foxconn 946GZ7MA-8KS2H running 2x512Mb RAM. It is DDR2 533 at the moment but the motherboard can support 667. My question is this, I want to get 2x1Gb ram, I'm going to get one of the following which are both the same price, I'm erring towards the XMS2 as it seems to be better than the value select but I'm not interested in overclocking at-all and wondered if the value select would be the better option for me.
    Corsair Value Select 2048Mb (2x 1024Mb) DDR2 667 Memory.
    Corsair XMS2 2048Mb DDR2-5400 (2x1024Mb) w/ Heat Spreaders.
    Thanks.

Check your bios, your manual, or with Foxconn if necessary and find out if your board allows you to adjust the memory voltage. If you cannot adjust the memory voltage, do not get the XMS. If you can adjust your memory voltage up from 1.8v stock default, I'd suggest the XMS over the VS.

    Re: XMS2 or Value Select.

My memory voltage is 1.87v, I can adjust my memory frequency. At the moment, I have a 3.4Ghz CPU and my memory is at 533Mhz. I can adjust these upwards keeping the system cool and stable relatively easily.
Reading up on this XMS2, it is tested at 675Mhz, as this is only 8Mhz over stock will I be alright with this? I have pushed my 533Mhz RAM up to 600 with no problems, this puts my CPU to 4Ghz again with no problems. Obviously I don't want or need to go that high but running the XMS2 at 675Mhz shouldn't then be a problem should it?

No, you will be fine running it at 675mhz.
