Memory Compatibilty with Intel Board DP35DP
Hi there,
I have a query about memory compatibility.
The corsair site doesn't list the motherboard for the memory I was going for. Could I check if the memory modules listed below will run well in the following Intel borad??
Also is there a noticeable differnce in performance between the two?
Motherboard - DP35DP
Spec:
1.8 V (only) DDR2 SDRAM DIMMs with gold-plated contacts
Unbuffered, single-sided or double-sided DIMMs with the following restriction: Double-sided DIMMs with x16 organization are not supported.
8 GB maximum total system memory using DDR2 667 or DDR2 533 DIMMs; 4 GB maximum total system memory using DDR2 800 DIMMs
Minimum total system memory: 512 MB
Non-ECC DIMMs
Serial Presence Detect
DDR2 800 or DDR2 667 MHz SDRAM DIMMs
DDR2 667 SIMMs with SPD timings of only 5-5-5 (tCL-tRCD-tRP)
DDR2 800 SIMMs with SPD timings of only 5-5-5 or 6-6-6 (tCL-tRCD-tRP)
Modules (option 1)
LN14277
2GB (2x1GB) CorsairTwinX XMS2, DDR2 PC2-6400 (800), 240 Pins, Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 4-4-4-12, EPP
(option 2)
LN11596
2GB (2x1GB) CorsairTwinX XMS2, DDR2 PC2-6400 (800), 240 Pins, Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 5-5-5-12
Many Thanks
Joe

Since you cannot adjust the memory voltage on that MOBO:

You will need to use our Value Select memory which runs at 1.8v and at JEDEC timings.
I would recommend a PC5300 that suits your needs for the amount: http://www.corsairmemory.com/products/value_select.aspx
Re: Memory Compatibilty with Intel Board DP35DP
I have a related question, I found this thread while googling...
I have a DP35DP board as well, and I'm using 2 DIMMs of Corsair VS DDR2-533. Now, Intel doesn't list the board as supporting DDR2-533 memory, even though it's working fine for me. I want to add an additional 2 DIMMs that are the same kind as my current ones, and I want to be sure that the board will support 4GB (4x1GB DIMMs) of DDR2-533 before I order the memory. Does anyone know if it will work?
Re: Memory Compatibilty with Intel Board DP35DP
It should but, you should check with Intel to be sure.

well, the problem is that intel claims the board won't work with my current 2gb of ddr2-533, but it does
Re: Memory Compatibilty with Intel Board DP35DP
My guess is that it will work if you have a 1066CPU but it won't with a 1333 as there will be no downclock option for the memory in the bios. You are welcome to try it but if there is any doubt, I would go with Intel's recommendation.

i DO have a 1066 cpu, and i bet you're right
Re: Memory Compatibilty with Intel Board DP35DP
Hi,
I have a computer with the DP35DP and my (2x2gb) OCZ (OCZ Technology OCZ2V6672G 2GB 667MHz DDR2 PC2-5400) memory.
When I put them on the motherboard, it reads ...
But when I call, the slow the graphics in cumputador and teh computer too ... But when I put only 2gb of memory, is not that slow ...
Do you know why this problem?

This section if for support of Corsair memory and not OCZ. Please contact OCZ for assistance with their products.
