    TwinX 4GB TWIN2X4096-6400C5

I have ordered the 2*2gb pack and I have the Gigabyte DS3 P965 Rev.1 - now should I be ok?

I have tried the 4*1gb sticks and it didn't work (application crashes etc).

    Bare in mind that I have a Q6600 @ 3.2 (400*8) and the F12 bios.

Yes, in general 2 x 2gb should be much easier to tune than 4 x 1gb.

I also going to update to TwinX 4GB TWIN2X4096-6400C5, but i have read in corsair site that this RAM is not advided for 32 bit OS.
i want to know what they means by "not advised" , either tot work the RAM will not work at all, or it will work but the windows will show it around 3 GB ?

You have hit the nail on the head. The memory will work fine but, the usable amount will be approximately 3gb due to the limits of the 32 bit OS.

    OK,

i have got TwinX 4GB TWIN2X4096-6400C5, nut Win xp 32 bit is showing only 2 gb although i have enabled "memory remapping" in bios,
i read that editing "boot.ini" using PAE will let xp 32 bit shows around 3 gb, but i don't know how to edit this file,
however i am observing improvement while loading heavy applications,

windows xp 64 bit and vista 64 bit both are showing 4 gb

Think I'm going to get the same RAM as you with 64bit Vista, hopefully it should be ok...

i ran this ram at 4-4-4-15 @ 2.0 volt without any problem, i think with little more try i will be able to run it near 4-4-4-12 , the default is 5-5-5-18,

Edting the PAE in XP will not make any noticeable difference. I have been told that MS disabled this feature. Regardless, you cannot use all 4gb of installed system memory with 32 bit Windows, Vista or XP. You will need to use the 64bit version.

Look in the stickies in this section for Memory Resources. The IC listing links are there.
