Corsair TwinX XMS2 Warranty

I've just ordered TWIN2X4096-6400C5 G - 4GB Corsair (2x2GB) TwinX XMS2, DDR2 PC2-6400 (800) from Scan and am wondering about its lifetime warranty.

Would I void my warranty if I removed the heat spreader and how easy is it to do? As I'm looking to install these onto my new ram, but wouldn't want to void the warranty and therefore havn't ordered the Memory Cooler yet.

The heat spreaders are attached with a thermally activated and thermally conductive adhesive. It is VERY difficult to remove them once they are attached.

Removing the heat spreaders WILL void your warranty.
