    Memory compatible

I currently have Corsair DDR2TWINX 2GB PC6400C4DHX installed in a Asus P5N32-E SLI Plus and was wondering if i would run in to any problems if i was to add Corsair DDR2TWINX 4GB PC6400C4DHX. Thus taking my computer from 2GB of memory to 6GB

The main reason for doing this is i want to run windows 7 64bit and as such need the extra memory

It's not a good idea to mix and match 2 different densities of memory. It should work but, there are no guarantees. The only way to know for sure is to install and test.

    Re: Memory compatible

    Hi David,
There shouldnt really be a problem doing that, however personally i wouldnt risk mixing the different module types, just buy the 4GB set and if it wont work then just stick with 4GB, windows 7 is a lot less memory intensive that vista and even on my laptop (2GB) it runs fast so unless your into 3D modelling or video editing 4GB should be plenty
