    Memory Voltages??

    Hello,

I'm looking at this Corsair RAM for a new build:

    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/8gb-%...s-9-9-9-24-15v

This one is 1.5volts however there's a 1.65volt version for the same price.

    What's the difference?

I'm looking at an Intel i5-2500K with an ASUS P8Z68 Motherboard.

    Thanks

    Re: Memory Voltages??

Buy the 1.5 volt version as that teh volts that the i5 is recommended for.

You can still use 1.65 for sandy bridge but 1.5 is safer for your cpu

    Re: Memory Voltages??

The 1.5V Version is probably the newer version. It can sport the same timings and frequency, but at a lower voltage. Buy the 1.5V Version. It gives you more headroom if you want to overclock too.
