Question Wrong Memery Clock with CMK16GX4M2Z3600C18

Hi, So I recently upgraded from my ancient 3rd Gen intel i5-

I went with an AMD Ryzen 5 3600,
An Asus TUF X570 Plus Gaming motherboard.
And a 16 GB Kit of Corsair Vengence LPX 3600 (Ryzen Tuned) CMK16GX4M2Z3600C18

Everything is working fine but one small issue, The memory Auto clocks in @ 2666,
If I manually change it in the BIOS settings to 3600 (but leave all else on Auto) I get no POST and the boards trouble shooting LED indicates an issue with Memory. Forcing me to clear the CMOS to get POST back.

So Im not sure if its the Memory, the board or me thats the problem
But any advice would be appreciated.

Did you use XMP Profile? You might have to increase voltage a bit manually. Increase with the smallest steps, test with benchmark tests after every little increase until you reach a stable configuration. Or you should find experiences from people with a similar setup to figure out what would work.

As mentioned above, you'll need to enable the XMP profile for the memory (there may be 2 profiles with different speeds). Enable, save and reboot.

You shouldn't really need to add more voltage above 1.35V with that RAM as the timings are not exactly tight with that kit, and your X570 board and CPU combo should be able to handle faster (not really worth it though).

EDIT: Just saw how old this thread is :/
