    Ram compatability question

    Hi guys,

I have a quick question about compatability of ram as I'm a little out of touch with this.

Im looking to add another 1Gb of ram to my system (see sig) and just want to check that two sticks of the ram in the link below will be compatable.

    http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/48122/rb/24195596350

I know its value ram but I'm not overclocking my system any more so have no need for the expensive stuff.

    Many thanks.

I definitely would NOT suggest mixing the VS RAM with the PC3200XL and especially not in a DFI MOBO. The DFI MOBOs are highly tuned for memory performance and mixing 2 different types of memory in them is not a good idea. If you need 2gb of memory, I would suggest a 2 x 1gb kit that suits your budget and performance needs.

If you're not overclocking you could just sell your 512MB sticks of XL and buy 2 x 1Gb sticks of VS RAM. Although I would of course recommend you get 2 x 1Gb sticks of performance RAM and overclock the balls off your CPU
