    ddr2-6400 IC's

    Hi there.
Nice to see you have found your way onto hexus

Are all the 6400 using PROMOS IC's still?
I am guessing that the only ones that are not would be the dominator C3's

    Cheers.
    jason.

PC6400C4 Dominators are the only Dominator modules using Promos ICs. All others are Micron and Micron only.

    PC6400C3DF
    PC8500C5D
    PC8888C4DF
    PC9136C5D

All Micron. Thanks for the welcome.

    That was quick.......
Looking to put a C2D E6400 system together and was hoping for 3.4-3.6 on water.
Thought that i might be better off with the micron stuff.
So how about the non dominator 6400, i am guessing that they are on promos also.
    cheers again.

I cannot tell from that picture. I have to have ALL the info from the sticker on the heat spreader to identify the ICs. If you have that info, use the link above to check the ICs.

I think the only way we will end up with D9's is to get the 8500
Missed the boat on those me thinks.
But then a lot of people missed the boat on those as they where dropped after a couple of a couple of revisions.
    Supply shortages?

If its a supply problem from micron then this raises a question.
The D9's that went into the early 6400where these down binned D9's?
Then if this is the case are you no longer down binning D9's from the 8500 range?
