Re: AMD - Bulldozer Chitchat
HardOCP has an article on the contest:
http://www.hardocp.com/article/2011/...ocking_preview
"I personally left the event feeling more positive about the upcoming FX than I have in a long time. While we can't tell you about actual performance and IPC, we can show you what the CPU is capable of in the hands of some very skilled overclockers."
If you already have samples in the lab it seems a strange statement to make. Most review websites will have at least a decent water or air cooler for overclocking tests,so why should the results make them feel differently about something they could do themselves??

BTW,have you upgraded to a new rig???
Re: AMD - Bulldozer Chitchat
Sort of, I upgrade incrementally.

I was on Aria checking out their BD thread and I saw someone with your user name with a Core i5 2500K at 5GHZ!!
Re: AMD - Bulldozer Chitchat
Oh no, I only use Watercooled on Hexus and a few obscure forums.

Re: AMD - Bulldozer Chitchat
BTW,in the previous link, Movieman who is a well known xs member AFAIK says he has seen benches of Bulldozer CPUs and it looks decent.
