It seems the Passmark scores for the Core i7 2600K were for overclocked CPUs.
Here is a comparison with a Core i7 2600K at stock speeds:

The stepping of the Bulldozer CPU is not indicated in the chart.
This post mentioned Bulldozer will have a reasonable IPC increase:

It seems Piledriver might be on socket AM3+ which is good news if true:

That's the one without IGP right? Nice to see they're keeping socket compatibility where possible, something else that lowers platform cost.
It looks like x264 is going to get a decent boost:

I thought the FX also supports AVX so its a win for amd where ever the market moves.
Leaked pricing for the launch FX CPUs from a large US retailer:

It looks they are starting to remove the pricing information though.

It looks like the FX 6120 is priced at the same level as the Phenom II X6 1100T and the Core i5 2400.
Sorry for asking something that may have been answered but have been following this thread for a while. But when are these coming out?
It seems like ages ago i decided to go sandy bridge as AMD kept pushing the date back. But has an official date been set yet to see how these chips actually compare?
Thanks Cat. Wonder why AMD haven't given a firm date themselves . . . . usually they would give a little bit of hype before a launch.
I suspect they have issues in terms of fab capacity. With the low yields on Llano it may well be that they're still hedging their bets on how much capacity to give to Llano and how much to give to Bulldozer. After all, Llano is likely to be the high volume chip for them, soif yields are still low (which they seem to be) they need to dedicate much more fabbing capacity to get the right number of chips out the door.
Wonder if AMD would considering moving some production to Intel if GLOFO can't get it sorted...? ;)

It seems the FX 4100 will be around £80 in the US. With VAT we are looking at around £95.
