Not that impressive really, well it is stock benchmarks but I do feel people will be better off with an overclocked 2600k if they want an Intel system; you'll save a lot of money.
Unless there are some last moment changes it does seem a Core i7 2600K is better value for money ATM. On top of this it also seems many socket 1155 motherboards will not work with Ivy Bridge.
Full product differentiation - sandy/ivy bridge is clearly the better desktop chip. This new chip is absolutely a workstation/server orientated design. Not that dissimilar from bloomfield and lynnfield.
