core temps?

Right as some may know i finally upgraded my system, well ive built it and so far was ok however ive been testing my temps (no overclocking, havent touched that yet and wont till im satisfied with stock!).

Idle:
29C - 36C on all cores

Load (intel burn)

60C - 70C !

Im baffled by the heat, im running a decent setup:

360mm RX360 rad
240mm RS240 rad
2x laing DDC pumps
Ek Supreme HF copper
Ek gpu water block (only a 460!)

Not sure whats up here, ive been messing around with the block mount but cant seem to get any improvement on temps, any suggestions to try?

edit: also im really lost with all these settings on the Asus P8Z68-V its so confusing, compared to the old AMD athlons and my oldish core2duo lol, recommendations on voltages etc? hate using auto...

Doesn't seem overly hot to me, you could lower voltage (use offset rather than absolute value) to bring it down further.

doesnt seem hot? i thought those temps would be acceptable under an intel stock hsf but for a high end water setup i dont see why its so high .

I blame the Asus manual as some parts are back to front, i.e a couple of switches are shown as x position is off and y position is on where as its y for off and x for on lol... i think its TPU or something that was on even when it said that position should be off, turned that off and i seem to be hitting 55C load now, still havent set voltages myself but thats a big ass drop!

dont worry too muc about it going to that. Your CPU starts melting at about 160c core temp if not more. ALso your CPU will throttle down if its in trouble.

forgot to say I have had a watercooling setup . Check it btw my delta was about 5c -10c , whilst your seeing a difference of 25c . Mine had way more rads

There's definitely something up there.

I'm running the same CPU as you, under a TRUE120 Black, at 4.5GHz and I only peak at around 55-60'C.

Have you considered that maybe your software isn't reporting the correct temperature?

Yeah its seems sorted now and ive done all my voltages, maxes at 47C and idles at 19C in these cold days ! I run my pumps extremely low and my fans though, i cant hear my system at all so not bad really .

Those temps do seem high...

My guess is either the fans aren't pushing enough air or the GPU is generating too much ambient heat in the loop.

How high or low is the pump setting/voltage?
