Does the AMD FX-8150 come with a liquid cooler?

    Hello,

Can somebody help out here with regards to the AMD FX-8150 because I'm reading conflicting and confusing reviews, which is starting to make my head spin and I am confused. Are there two FX-8150 versions... because I'm seeing some in s standard box with a window on the side showing the processor. And I'm seeing others with a water cooler...? if you look at http://www.scan.co.uk/products/amd-f...-s-125w-retail to me this looks like a standard AMD retail box. The one that comes with the water cooling system is a bog box which is nothing like the picture on Scans website. I have read loads of reviews, showing the processor comes with a water cooler...? Is this one of the reasons why everybody is having problems with pr-orders at the moment including Scan.

... Or is this a marketing ploy?

There are two retail editions of the FX-8150, but only in some countries. The Scan one doesn't come with the liquid cooler. The liquid cooler edition has it's own box, with the text 'with liquid CPU cooling system' on the front.

Most of the ones I've seen in the UK don't come with a liquid cooler. A decent air cooler will do the job just fine.

Nah it doesn't, you can get it but I haven't seen many people stock it, it'll do just fine with air cooling anyway pal
