    Price check: Phenom II x4 905e

    Lo dudes

    I've got a 905e (the super low current, ultra cool model) 2.5ghz X4 Phenom II 65W and I'm considering an upgrade to a hex core, but on this CPU, it's a rare one.. and I don't know what to expect it to sell for on the Bay.

    Most stuff I can guess prices on.. but this one is less frequently auctioned properly.

    Any idea guys?

    I would say for the average enthusiast boffin to run as a backup server...

    the most they'll be ready to part is £20 inc

    To an HTPC enthusiast for his personal collection,

    Probably reach £30 inc tops...

    Hell, I wish they would come up at 30quid! I'd have had a couple of them in my VMWare boxes by now!

    An extra core and unlocked multiplier and 30w LESS power....they really have to be worth a lot more then 20-30 IMO

    I'd guess £50 - £60 Zakky. In fact, I'd give you £50 - £60 for it, frankly. Been looking to source one of them (or an X3 705e) for ages...

    Currently one up on t'bay at £60 starting, £90 BIN...

    I think 720s are about £40.

    2.5 ghz x4 65w is good but not all that.

    I paid about £45 for an X3 400e about 6 months back, although I specifically wanted 45w TDP to guarantee passive cooling with the Ninja. In the end I had to buy from Spain as they were so rare. I'd reckon you could get about £50 from a HTPC enthusiast.
