Re: Phenom II X6 1045T back in stock at Scan

I won't overclock it.. .no need on most games

    It's i my pc now.

First thing.... aren't AM3/2 socket clips nice and easy? I mean..... in comparison to Intel's 4 corner thing.....I love AMD clips.

Second thing, it overclocks itself when it's under load, if 3 or less cores are needed... shoots straight up to 3.2gig.

I've just run it on 3dMark Vantage and it whoops the crap outta the 4 core 905e I had (not suprised... it should) with CPU score going up from from 8842 to 13695 :-)

I've run CPU burn in on 1 then 2, then 3, then 4 then 5 and then 6 cores ... with CPU-Z running for me to see it clock up and down.
It certainly does clock up to 3.2 up to 1 2 and 3 cores

Thirdly: cool chip... not getting much warmer than the 905e did tbh.

Fourth: it's weird having 6 CPU bars in Perfomance Tab of Windows Task Manager

Good work Zakkles. Welcome to the 6 core club!

That CPU is a bargain - so much power for the money - I mean what intel you gonna get for £90? A dual core I3?

Powaaaaa. Almost tempted to get one myself!
