    Lenovo i3-2370m

    Afternoon all,

I was looking for a new laptop for my step-daughter and saw that the Lenovo G580 is being released fairly soon. I popped over to their website to check the specs and noticed that they are claiming that the graphics will be HD4000. Now I thought that Sandybridge CPUs had HD3000 but am now wondering if the latest batches of Sandybridge are being shipped with HD4000. I've done some investigations myself but cannot find anything to suggest that this is the case and I just wondered if anybody else knows anything.
Of course I'm perfect you just need to lower your expectations.

I expect it's a typo. I'm fairly sure that all of the SB chips are HD3000. The upgrade to 4000 is a major USP of IB chips.
    Society's to blame,
    Or possibly Atari.

If it is a typo then they've managed to typo it across the whole G580 range (I was going to post a picture here of the site but work is blocking all hosting sites). The optimist in me tends to agree with you, cynic in me suspects that they might be relying on most purchasers not being aware of the differences between the chipsets.

All the lenovo websites about the G580 I can find are all over the place when it comes to completion. I can still see placemarkers that say 'the description goes here'.

I'm going to wait until after the launch and if they still haven't changed it I will email them for an explanation
