Re: Quiet Air Cooler for 3570K overclocking.
Sorry for the slight hijack but I'm looking for something similar for a new build. I'll be using a Z77 motherboard and 3570K, maybe looking at a mild overclock as well if I feel brave. My case has a 12cm intake fan and 12cm exhaust fan both inline with the CPU location on the board. I wondered if any of these large, tower heatsinks could comfortably be used without any fans attached directly to them? I was looking at the Prolimatech Megahalems, any good used like that maybe?
Re: Quiet Air Cooler for 3570K overclocking.
NH-D14 if you can stand the looks, Dark Rock otherwise.
Re: Quiet Air Cooler for 3570K overclocking.
I went for an Arctic Cooling Freezer i30 in the end. Currently running it without the fan, but I have a 12cm at the front of the case and another behind it which are near perfectly in line with the cooler. Nice and quiet, I see temps of around 45C - 48C across all four cores when gaming or running prime. I went for an i7 3770 non-K so can't speak for overclocking though but I'd imagine it would cope well, maybe need the fan attached directly though.

I've also got the Macho, & it is extremely quiet while providing effective cooling. I also have the Asus P8z77-V motherboard, & the fan does obstruct the first DIMM slot. The only real disadvantage in fact, is that it's physically quite a large cooler, but it does look quite impressive :)
Re: Quiet Air Cooler for 3570K overclocking.
Got the arctic pro 13, similar to the i30 and can't praise it enough, swapped it for the noctua NH-U12P SE2, push pull at full speed, moved stacks of air yet 8 degrees hotter than the pro 13 via prime after just 8 mins, couldn't get my pro 13 in fast enough. Plus arctics spare parts via their website from hong kong was peanuts.

Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo

You have a good chip there only taking 1.1V at 44x. That's a good part of why your temps are so low. Still a great result though; is this at 1300 rpm?
Re: Quiet Air Cooler for 3570K overclocking.
I would go for Noctua DH-14 and you can take advantage of the HEXUS/Scan offer > SCAN2HEXUS - Free shipping
Re: Quiet Air Cooler for 3570K overclocking.
Does the Noctua DH-14 block the first DIMM slot?
Re: Quiet Air Cooler for 3570K overclocking.
Universally it'll be a Noctua. I loved mine.
Re: Quiet Air Cooler for 3570K overclocking.
Go for the Dark Rock. Uses Silent wings which are almost inaudible as well as force some good air through the fins.
