Re: upgrade from 1156 to 1155

Not really worth going from your i7 860 to a 3770K - if not in terms of the cost alone - there would be also negligible difference in game perofrmance at the same clockspeed too.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

What PSU model and motherboard do you have??

Overclock the Core i7 860 and you should be fine. I would probably upgrade the graphics card before the CPU TBH.

You got a great socket 1156 motherboard. What cooler are you using??

The thing is that you are spending at least £170 on a Core i5 3570K. IMHO,that is better spent towards a GTX660TI or HD7950 to replace your GTX560TI.

I agree with CAT, sell the 1155 you're getting as a gift (and be sure to thank the person who gave it because they're awesome!), and spend the money you'd have spent on the IB i7 on a beast of a new GPU.
