I7 2011 3820 vs 1155 3370k

With about 20 quid difference between these two chips I am lost as to which one to go for.

I know for a fact these chips are massive over kill for what I use, I get about 3-5 hours a week on the computer when I am on it I want to play latest games (separate graphics card) I will be using cs6 and cinema 4d, only for fun though going through you tube tutorials, nothing critical. I will be using either 16 gig quad chan or 4 sticks of 4gb dual chan chip depending with a 256 SSD. Board to be decided but circa £200.

I do one upgrade like this (£1k plus) every 3 years so I would like the best upgrade path to replace the chip maybe in a year or two. Any help?

I have an antec kuhler so I would like to over clock BUT... With either of these chips I don't think I would need to in the short term... Would I? I do like to have a fiddle though

I went for the 3820 due to the x79 and the fantastic over clocking results
