    I can't help but think (hope!) that this is the roundup of the dead end, energy hungry, ones.

    I just want a ridiculously great battery life from my laptop when it is working its CPU....

    I forgot to mention, I want the CPU to actually be able to do things, rather than just running very fast.

    I say this as a former RISC PC owner too mind. I like my Surface RT, sure its not latest tegra, but the CPU does really limit it at times.

    they include an i7 920 but no phenom x6`s....

    Running fast is inefficient. That is why the Bobcat/Jaguar/Atom processors are only dual issue.

    I think what you really need is a miniature portable nuclear power source, but no-one has made one of those either. Well, not mass produced anyway
