    Hexus' only two pages.

The AT review is all over the place. Jacking up IQ and resolution at the same time? Unreal.

CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."

for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

    Anandtech:-

My grandfather has one amazing geeky quality that shines through though – he has played and completed every Tomb Raider game on the PC he can get his hands on.

It all came to a head this holiday season when he was playing the latest Tomb Raider game. He was running the game on a Pentium D with an NVIDIA 7200GT graphics card. His reactions are not the sharpest, and he did not seem to mind running at sub-5 FPS at a 640x480 resolution.

Re: AMD Kaveri A10 review thread

I added the TH review. They actually test Crossfire with an R7 240 and it seems to be much better than with Richland:

    http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...ri,3725-8.html

    Edit!!

    Why didn't they use the 384 shader R7 250??

It has the same number of shaders as the A8 7600 and the R7 240 has 320 shaders.

Looks like steamroller will not be much faster than enhanced piledriver in non APU operations based on Kaveri benchmarks.

They didn't try locking both Richland and Kaveri to the same clock, but despite the clock they got "a few percent faster to around 30% faster". Having the source code and being to re-compile makes a big difference. A pity the Windows proprietary software model doesn't support that; which is one of the reasons why Windows RT is possibly going to join Window NT Alpha/MIPS/PowerPC in the land of the dodo. Of course, the same thing applies to Intel's processors too; Haswell with recompiled code is a lot faster than IB.

The A10 7850K was meant to be in line with the Core i5 4670K?? What??

The Core i5 4670 is a more expensive and the A10 comes with a copy of BF4:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819113359
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819116898

The key sells for $30 to $45 on Ebay USA:

    http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_saca...mplete=1&rt=nc

So even after fees that is easy $25 off the RRP.

That makes the Core i5 4670 at least $55 more expensive, and the A10 7850K $165 or even less.

    The Core i3 4340 is $160:

Still, there is a few % improvement in some of the tests, and any IPC boost would be a plus.
I just dont want to buy an 8350, then have the FX-8550 announced the week after
