OC Athlon X2 - how far is far enough?

OK, weird retro "Jim's gone mad" style thread here!

As some of you will remember, some time ago I started modding a case to take lots of watercooling gear attached to a Q6600 and a couple of 8800GTXes. As time went by the project fell by the wayside, I needed cash so sold off some of the components, and work stopped.

Since then the Q6600 has been replaced and gone to my stepson (along with a second hand 4850), and I've been left trying to work out what to do with what's left.

The sensible option would be to sell/give away what's left of the water kit (after all, I've got a 3x120 rad, fans, pump, blocks etc., a TX750, and a case modded to take it all), but before I do that I can't help wanting to have one last try getting it all rigged up again.

So, what's left in my little box of spare kit is an NForce 3 AM2 board, into which I can drop an Athlon X2 4050e (2.1GHz 45w). I've also still got one 8800GTX with waterblock attached. That means I could still have a play with cooling this little lot

So, honest opinions everyone, on how far I'd need to clock my X2 to make it worth running it as a gaming rig with the 8800GTX? Worth having a mess just to see what happens? Have a play under air first to see how far it'll go? Or just give in, sell off what kit I have, and put the money towards something more useful?

    GO!

Personally, I'd say sell. The housing sounds like it could net you a nice amount, the running gear is old and I think even a relatively cheap APU setup will outpace it. So the effort rebuilding is not really worth it IMO unless you just want a project; in which case - spank that CPU till you can peel the motherboard's PCB layers off.

Though I have kept my MSI 8800GT for sentimental reasons, looking on eBay some 8800GTs still sell for quite a reasonable amount. Perhaps more for its part in GPU history than anything else. So there is a potential cash incentive there.

Brisbane? I think you'd only be doing it for the "Fun" factor the value of your water cooling kit will be reduced, plus, I don't think the thermal output which actually be very high to even need watercooling you'd blow the board or hit the chips bus limit before you hit any sort of thermal wall.

Considering an A10-6800K will probably yawn at the "overclocked" 4050e speeds I think it would be pointless IMHO.
