How far can I push my i5-760?
I have my i5-760 overclocked to 4.01 Ghz and when running prime95 my CPU temps are averaging around the 80C (air cooled). I want to push my CPU farther because I want to be able to reduce the bottleneck for the GPU, if I decide to upgrade to the GTX 970. I don't know when enough is enough...
[EDIT] I just noticed that my CPU is throttling when it hits around 85C causing the clock speed to drop to 1.8 Ghz.... O dear :(

You would need to buy either top end air (noctua nh-d14) or a h100i or equivilent IMHO to push it much further

My old i5-760 did 4.2Ghz in a Asus P7P55D-E Pro. You need to do something about those temps before you go any further.

An i5-760 at 4Ghz won't bottleneck a GTX 970. I had that same CPU up until last week and with my GTX 970 at 1080p my games roan perfectly good on high to ultra settings.
