H'mm my sandy 2500k not supported WTF.
Well initially it was overclocked and win 7 got it wrong by stating the speed was 5.9ghz and thought that could be the problem so reduced the speed...still cpu not supported. Anyway checked on the net and it is a problem for some computers, so made sure I downloaded all updates and checked to make sure updates were working.
Problem not solved so unless MS come out with a fix for my computer then I'll have to stay with win 7.
2nd computer gigabyte P965ds3p, 7770 E2140@2.9ghz, corsair HX520 6 years stable, replaced now with E8400@3.9ghz and will overclock more when I'm bored.
have you downloaded the iso builder and done it that way ?

I'm having a slightly different yet odd experience, 5 pc's that can be upgraded, 3 here at the moment. 2 x PC's, 1 x laptop.
Main PC and laptop both say Windows 10 is reserved but validating Windows 10 for my pc and working with vendors or something.
The other PC has done the upgrade but is now stuck at some 1998 screen resolution as apparently their are no Windows 10 drivers nor by the sounds of it will there ever be for the HD4850 thats in it, though it said compatible through the checker before upgrading so kinda stuck now. Looks like going to have to get another card to go in it.

Well downloaded win 10 from MS and it's now saying "you can't install win 10 because your processor (2500k) doesn't support NX....h'mm whatever that is.
From the net.......Gotta check in the bios to see if it's (NX) ticked.

I thought it did, is it turned off in the BIOS?
According to ark, the processor supports Execute Disable Bit (which I believe is the same thing) but "This feature may not be available on all computing systems"...
From memory, it was introduced with Phenom and Intel added it in Core 2? Something like that, I thought it well preceded 2500k anyway.
But it does require BIOS enabling, so worth updating the BIOS if you can't find an option already.
Two hard drives same computer....one hard drive 64bits no problem if I want to upgrade, but ATM win 10 will cripple Kaspersky and as my accounts etc are on that HD will not upgrade. The problem is the 32bit hard drive, well it's for my grandchildren's games and if MS can't make sure it's an easy upgrade then I can't be bothered with it. anyway I do have win10 insider on another computer and will just have to use that for future games.

I am running the Kaspersky beta, it isn't good and stops a lot of things from running/working, what the hell is up with this? They have had the RTM for over a week and beta build after beta build and do bugger all about it.
At least I have disabled defender from group policy.
