Right...given that I have an oldish but really effective Alpenfohn Brocken that would be great on this skylake cpu if I had an up to date LGA1150 back plate / fittings pack. Can anybody point me in the direction of said item?

Actually I should qualify this...I'm after a kit that somebody has already used in there own rig and can vouch for.
I found this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/INTEL-LGA-...item3d013ccec3 but it looks way too fiddly to fit and keep the TIM in uncompromised condition.

Otherwise it's going to be a new buy and that seems to be a waste of a very good cooler.

Does it not have a 1156/1155/1150/1151 bracket with it?

If not, the one on ebay seems ok (although a bit pricey for what it is IMO)....I find most of the tower brackets to be a bit fiddly TBH

It did come with a backplate but it won't work with the 1151, it hits the soldered pins sticking out of the back of the mobo. Not a problem...I got a Be Quiet that SCAN had on offer which I'm very impressed with. I'm also going to write to Alpenfohn and see if I can blag a compatable fixing kit.
