Best LGA 1150 Water Cooling CPU Block

Got a budget of about £50 so what's the best I can get for that?

    Probably an EK Supremacy Evo.
The Supremacy MX is equally cool IMO, since I have one myself, but you may want to consider getting the PreciseMount for it.

Re: Best LGA 1150 Water Cooling CPU Block

To be honest there is not a lot in it these days. It seem's that waterblock design has hit a brick wall for the time being and now all the manufacturers are pretty equal. Even the cheaper blocks such as the EK Supremacy MX and the Heatkiller IV Basic are only a couple of degrees behind their more expensive offerings. One thing I would say though is to check out how the block is mounted. Some such as the XSPC Raystorm (not the new Pro) have excellent performance yet are a right pain to mount.

Re: Best LGA 1150 Water Cooling CPU Block

I can recommend the Phobya UC2-LT personally. I like the transparent acrylic on it, and it performs well with my overclocked 4690k. Heard good things about all EK blocks too, I have an EK 7990 block so I can confirm they make good graphics blocks, so they should have good CPU blocks too. Welcome to the world of watercooling

Re: Best LGA 1150 Water Cooling CPU Block

I know this is an old thread now.

But TBH the gap between high-end air cooling and watercooling for CPUs is closing. Some of the big air coolers are almost as good now and cost half as much. These days the only place where you see huge gains from watercooling is on the GPU. Mainly because it's easier to shift the heat out of the case with watercooling.
