Looks like a lot of scratches/scuffs on for a CPU.....almost like it's been used as a hockey puck.

Probably an i7 920. I was just saying to someone yesterday that Intel chips seem fairly indestructible and I'd have no problem buying a 2nd hand CPU but there are limits... (the context for which was the fact that you can grab westmere (32nm) 6 core Xeons for less than £50, though the motherboards are nowhere near as easy to get hold of or as cheap).Quote:
