    Corsair H60 suitable for a stock Ryzen 9 5900X?

It's been a long time since I posted and 5 years since I built a new PC.

Looking at stuff I can upgrade one step at a time in my current system.

    Will a Corsair H60 be OK for a 5900X?

Currently it will sit on an older Core 5 4690K.

I doubt it, AMD have provided a list of coolers and the minimum radiator size seems to be 240mm but you are probably better off with a 280mm for an AIO.

AIO water coolers start to degrade over time,so I probably would get a new cooler.

Re: Corsair H60 suitable for a stock Ryzen 9 5900X?

I have similar issues as my build is over 8 years old and my case is even older, I decided that it is best to change my case as I wanted updated front panel I/O and better support for AIO mounting. The only things I am taking forward into the new build are my PSU, GPU and drives.

I've ended up deciding to keep my media server separate so I'm going to build from scratch anyways although I may now get this cooler for my current PC

Re: Corsair H60 suitable for a stock Ryzen 9 5900X?

I suggest getting a new cooler. Best check on amd website for there suggested cooler if you want one that last is best getting a air cooler. AIO are good but the pump tends to degrade over time.
I also suggest to get a bigger case with modular design that still has 5.25 bays they can be useful for future ports upgrade if needed e.g. you can buy 5.25 front panel with usb 3 slots or a hotswap drive bay or anything people think up of for that slot you can even buy a drawer for it just for putting cables and usb stick in or your keys.
