    Canada, and Rys owned...

As most of you will know, I founded HEXUS many light years ago in a galaxy far far away. Anyway, I used to do an awful lot of travelling for HEXUS and would be on nearly all of the trips for the company. However, in the last few months I decided to take some time out from travelling and have a bit of a rest, still working - but doing less jet jumping.

Well, it didn't last long. Yesterday I flew to Montreal to see some people from ATi and watch the Grand Prix. This is my first time to Canada and I have come with Rys. It is our first overseas trip together and I was looking forward to going overseas with him. Maybe I spoke too soon....

I normally fly with BA or Virgin when I can - but this time, due to ATi policy, we were stiched up and put on Air Canada - an airline I have not flown with before, and to be honest - I am scared to fly with again.

It didn’t take long for it all to kick off. Rys and I were on the same outbound flight and, after a few problems with seats being broken and other headaches, we settled in and grabbed some food. To my surprise we had some rather vocal air-hostesses who decided to stitch Rys right up and complain about the T-Shirt he was wearing.

Apparently the T-Shirt was highly inappropriate, and if a young child saw it and asked questions it would put people in awkward situations. Anyway, she took me aside and told me she was shocked at my colleague's top and expected him to change it (this is when all his clothes are in the hold). Rys decided he would wear his coat, this is after she then had another rant at him and told him that her brother would have 'beaten him up' for wearing such a stupid top.

I am shocked to have got a complaint about a colleagues top - seriously....

I have to say that Air Canada have a special way of welcoming you to Canada. So for the record, I won't be flying with them again.

I will be out here until Monday when I fly back (night flight argh!) and land early Tuesday morning. I will keep you all up to date with the antics from out here, as I am sure you find it funny too.

Oh, and here is a shot of Rys in the Galley after being 'owned' by the airhostess

and so far I am unsure if Rys has only one T-Shirt since this is another shot I got sent from the guys when they were in Taiwan:

Huge Can of Lager seems standard issue around HEXUS

Personally.. I would have told the air hostess where to go.

I have several tops, all insulting, which I have never had anyone complain about. And if a stewardess goes around making comments such as "her brother would have 'beaten him up' for wearing such a stupid top." then she seriously needs some sort of disciplinary. That is wholly unnacceptable.

On another side of the coin, she could be locked up for using verbally suggesting threatening behaviour.

I've walked down the high street and seen people with "F*** Police" (uncensored) on their t-shirts.. I take no offence to it, it's just a laugh.

I think it may have been an ego thing. Was she Canadian? *cough*

Did the air-hostess actually make a threat or was she just implying that if her brother were there then that would have happened? I would've complained to someone higher up

She was saying if he was there... It was far from a threat - more of a statement. He was the stud from school with the shoulder length hair fighting for all things good I guess.....

I think she was just pretty pissed about the top

Trouble is I can see her point - but the way she went around it I think was a little over the top.

Canadians are usually fairly chilled out, and all about service etc, seems very strange..
