    Google have done it again!

I play with many gizmos and gadgets daily - most of them are of the physical entity.

However, I have been an advocate of Google for many years and very impressed with what they have done.

I have been running Google desktop search for many months now, and today they launched a new release - with even more features.

So it does the normal things like searching email, but it also has other key features like delivering content to your desktop - News related to the sites you read. Also quicklinks to sites which you have visted.

Another cool things is that it locates you and finds out the weather in your region - so I am in SF at the moment and it picks it up.

It has a scratch pad which you can put quick notes in - saves you finding a pen.

However, the most awesome thing is the ability to index network drives - within my home I run a couple of true servers - one for files and one for exchange. These are now indexed by my Desktop search.

Or get a man it to give you a new one.

Or have fun cables going in/out.
