Liquids and Carpets do not mix - issue 1!
So, as most of you know - I work from home and spend my time in the same 4 walls - within my office. Its Khaki coloured and has nice carpet, my uber PC and loads of other cool things.
Anyhow - this is where the nice stuff stops - I have had a whole heap of pain with the carpet in the room. When it was decorated I bought some new carpet, infact a huge bit of carpet which was big enough to cover the room twice. However, when the lovely carpet fitters fitted it they decided to cut it a stupid way and I ended up with one long piece and 1 piece to do the room.
On New Years eve, my cat decided to sit in my office and got a little scared by the fireworks, leaving a treat for me on the floor - however, with it being a 100% wool carpet it didn't want to clean - so I thought I would get the other bit fitted, this is when I found out it would need to be joined. So the dodgy carpet fitted did the usual "I can get you a bit which is better for an office cheap" - he turned up the next day with indeed a better piece (my office is only 5m (sq).) So I paid him to fit this, and use the other piece (from the original office cut) to do the stairs.
All is great - until today, I was sitting at my desk with a cup of coffee and I decided to throw it all over the floor :| Joy - hopefully it will come out okay but I am skeptical. I have "Zorbed" it with some Dyson mini sponges just waiting for it to dry.
God I hate carpets - I knew I was jinxed when I couldn't have a wooden floor fitted due to it being an old house and the floor not being flat
*argh!*
