Re: Upgrade to LED or LCD Monitors?

I have that monitor and I'd have to say it's pretty good. No HDMI I know but that's easily solved with a Xbox DVI cable that costs less than a fiver off eBay and then it manages to link my audio too.

It was on Ebuyer for £150.99 or something a few days ago, seems it's gone out of stock and they only have the non LED models

There's 1 left in stock at Dabs for JUST under £170: http://www.dabs.com/products/benq-24...reen-69MC.html

Free delivery from Dabs too so if you're quick you could grab it from there if this is the right monitor for you.

Now I'm tempted...LOL, clicked on the dabs link and it's clear that they have copied the product description directly from somewhere other than the UK.
"Splendid color presentation in every little detail" and "Highest standard quality"

Re: Upgrade to LED or LCD Monitors?

I wish they would hurry up and make a 30" OLED Would be awesome for dark games and films where LCD backlights bloody ruin it making it look grey washed out... Even IPS

I couldn't recommend that benq if it was going to be used with a console.
    mmmm

Interesting so theres no point in getting HDMI, if i am only using it for a PC, it will not help with watching movies or playing games?

Nope, HDMI is basically the same as DVI except it carries audio as well as standard.

Nope it wont but if your watching movies then you definetly need a IPS panel monitor. not those cheap TN ones mate if you want good colour contrast and sharpness as well as fantastic viewing angles.

IPS panels are expensive but will last you 5-6 years or more. im still using my dell 2005ftw IPS i bought 5-6 years ago costing me over £400 and is been superb. im only looking to buy a new one as i want a 1080p or higher res monitor.

had this been a 24inch i would not have bothered.

You're right, but they're not in budget. OTOH if you can find one in range, I'd buy one myself.
