In that sort of price range I'd go for an LED back light like this one.

What is your budget? if you stretch it to £400+ get a IPS panel monitor
Anyway a 24" IPS can be had for under £300 delivered.

lol
my budget is MAX £170 Including Delivery
p.s. What is Backlight, and how is it better than the ones i was looking at in scans
Do you mean £170 ?
NB the one I linked to has no HDMI but will get equal quality through it's DVI. Unless you're planning to run a console through it.
The back light is a light which shines through the LCD screen in the monitor so you can see it. An LED back light is the best as it makes the light move even over the whole screen, however it is slightly more expensive.
Do you need HDMI or will DVI do ? If so the LEd back light benq has had some good reviews. Otherwise both of the models you have linked to are fine. I have an LG myself and it's great at what it does. If you can stretch the extra few quid, I would though.
I guess i might as well stretch a few quid maybe, as its not every month that u buy a monitor.
Trying to buy a motherboard too.
Well i thought HDMI would give better Quality when watching movies, playing games etc.
I have a ATi 3870 which came with a DVI to HDMI dongle
P.S. I am new here, How do u think people in a post?

No - As far as I understand it the video is of equal quality between HDMI and DVI. However, DVI does not carry audio and if he's planning on using the monitor with a console, it would not be plug and play to get it to work. I couldn't recommend that benq if it was going to be used with a console.
I see, although it is very easy to have audio separately on both 360/PS3 :)
