    KVM Query/Recommendation

    Hi,

I am setting up my sons room, currently he has a PC(standard VGA connection) and an Xbox(VGA converter) and did have 2 monitors until one blew up.

I was thinking of a KVM switch to take 2 VGA inputs and out one VGA to the monitor, but I dont need the keyboard/mouse and all that, its just so 1 monitor can use both devices.

Can any recommened me something that would do the job and thats preferably cheap.

    Thanks
    Jon

First thing to do is to make sure his monitor does not have switchable inputs, many do these days, you might be able to use a DVI and a VGA, if the monitor does not have dual vga.

there are a few things like that on amazon. basic, no power. no need for a proper kvm if it's just the monitor that is shared

Cheap old belkin ps2 ones off fleabay should be fine. Couple of quid each I'd imagine.

If you live near Oxford and can collect drop a PM. I 'probably' have one in the cupboard somewhere you an have for nowt - IF I can find it, though not sure if I have the cable kits. No posting - too much hassle.
