    Running two monitors

    All,

I'd like to run 2 screens off my laptop. I can connect one via DVI and the other via VGA but, as you would expect, I get differing resolutions at an output level. How can I connect the 2 screens (i don't want the screens to mirror each other) and enjoy the benefits of full res on both screens (1920x1080).

Would some form of splitter work?

    Re: Running two monitors

I would have thought the laptop would have resolution options that were independent for each monitor. What graphics does the laptop have?

    Re: Running two monitors

It does but it seems like the VGA output is ltd. to 1680x1000 (or thereabouts).

Some screens only have a limited set of resolutions available over vga.

Do you have HDMI, DVI and VGA outputs? If so, use the DVI and HDMI.
