Sadly my 16:10 monitor packed up recently so I am stuck using a new 16:9 :(
Woot, I'm the first using a 4:3. And I bet I'm the only one using a CRT still as well. :)
16:10 (1680 x 1050) * 2...
...I went from a single 23" 1920 x 1200 display to dual 22" 1680 x 1050 monitors a while back. Mostly because I liked the idea of having 2 screens and they are IPS panels (Dell 2209WA) rather than the very old and very crappy TN display I used to have (a very early Sony that a prior employer bought me - which was hellishly expensive at the time but not very bright and had an annoying fan in it). I don't really miss the extra resolution but maybe I'm getting old and find the bigger pixels (and hence bigger everything) easier on my eyes.
Nope, I have a 22" CRT, with which I have the difficult choice of 2048x1536 at 60Hz, or 1600x1200 at 85Hz. However, my vote is for 16:9 as I use my laptop a lot more than my desktop (posting this from the lappy in bed :D) so I consider that to be my main monitor. Also, I probably use my work PC more than my home desktop too, and that's on a 16:10 (19" 1440x900). So actually, I use a bit of everything (oo-er :naughty:)!
I have a Cornerstone P1500 - 21" CRT, 1600x1200 @ 85Hz... guess that's 4:3?
^ Think so.
Running a 17" Relisys here at 1280*1024 which is 4:3. Looking at getting a full HD monitor before the end of the year though. Will pass this one down to some else in the family.
I was really after results from as many people as possible, not just those interested in displays and monitors, but hey ho :)
Samsung 23" 1600x1200
27.5" Hanns.G @ 1920x1200 16:10
Iiyama 22" 1920x1080
Lucoms 19" 5:4.
I'd like a bigger one (monitor!) but would much prefer at least 1200 vertically - 1080 over 1024 is hardly worth bothering.
Since widescreen tellies became the norm the monitors are cheap to make with some of the same components, regardless of usefulness.
I suppose you could describe my setup as 8:3 as I have 2 1600x1200 20.1" Dells
