23/24" LED Monitor with HDMI and DVI (PC/Xbox360 Gaming) - Recommendations?
Well to cut a long story short, since moving in with the lass and bairn, what little time I had to the TV has now ceased to exist xD
I currently have an older 22" Samsung T220 with a res of 1680x1050 which is decent enough for the PC gaming I do now and my system handles it well but I am looking to connect the xbox 360 on the same monitor as the PC so I can get through some gaming without having to wait days on end just to get an hour on the TV :P
I have been looking about at the LED 23 - 24" led monitors (mainly asus and samsung) but it seems with the LED you get HDMI and VGA. Ideally I would prefer a DVI/HDMI screen so the 5870 can be used on the DVI and the 360 on the hdmi for the 1080p res, I cba with running a DVI cable to a VGA adapter then into the back of the gaming rig.
Does anyone know of any decent LED monitors that will do what I need. Or does anyone have a similar setup and could point me to a few decent screens?
I was looking at this but its VGA/HDMI:

Also this one but would be a waste as the 5870 doesn't do the 3D but the 360 may at some point if rumours hold true:

Would there be any point in getting the 120hz screen as I am sure the 360 doesn't do 120hz anyway. Really Just looking for idea's at present. Already got the sound sorted and the MS HDMI cable with the audio converter with it so I can hook up to the external sound system.
Thanks for the advice/help/information in advance :) Ideally somewhere around the £200 mark is what I could afford at present :)

ASUS VE247H maybe? I quite like this one. 2ms time is awesome. and I dont think 3D is ever going to be necessary..maybe it's just me, I dont feel comfortable with 3d glasses on

Sorry didn't see the reply on the thread. I tried the monitor in a local store and the ghosting was bad, could of been the display model though. I got a VE248H from amazon a few weeks back and when it came it had stuck pixels so that had to go back but on the desktop and doing work the ghosting was shocking.
I am now looking at this monitor:

Acer G245HQbid but can't find anyone with one and a 360 and pc gaming to see how bad they are. As with anything on the net, I can find a number of reviews sayings its not the best for gaming and has ghosting issues but can never find anything with someone saying they use it fine for 360 and pc gaming or anyone reviewing both levels of gaming on the monitor.
I was hoping that there would of been a few people on these forums that used monitors for 360 gaming alongside PC gaming, just saves having to wait until 11pm most nights just to get a quick bit of gaming in if I cba with PC gaming.

Thought about creating a new thread but thought better of it and bump this one as my needs are similar.
Looking for a 23"/24" monitor for PC gaming and general PC use (+ some photo editing). Been looking at the Asus ones so far as they seem good value for the money but reading here of the issues with some of them has made me reconsider slightly.
Open to all suggestions.

I'm still looking for a decent LCD that matches all the needs. Since the Asus screen had poor ghosting on it and also dead pixels it put me off the Asus models for now. Still looking about and looking at the 120hz monitors atm for the 360 and pc gaming etc.

Yeah, similar needs to my own, although I won't be using it for the 360. Your words on the Asus models have put me off them as well, they were looking good value for there money.

Think I am going to wait for the 3D 24" 120hz refresh rate monitors to come down a little in price and then start looking again. For now I am hammering the PC for gaming and looking to start Star Wars: The Old Republic so the 360 isn't seeing a lot of use atm other than lovefilm, 4oD and youtube etc.

I was seeing what the after Christmas sales were going to do to the prices but they haven't done much, will probably wait a little longer as it isn't a real need. Just itching to dump my old 17" TFT for something bigger...

I'm guessing with the push for LED screens in recent months, give it a while and the market will be flooded with em and then wait it out a few months. Unless anyone can recommend a good screen now for 360/pc gaming or has experience of a screen with the two gaming platforms mentioned.
